《落日殺神》（英語：Collateral）是一部在2004年上映的美國犯罪電影，由夢工廠與派拉蒙電影公司出品，麥可·曼執導，湯姆·克魯斯及傑米·福克斯主演。此片獲不少電影獎項提名，包括奧斯卡金像獎、土星獎及英國電影和電視藝術學院獎。以下就是我寫的作業內容啦~
湯姆·克魯斯少有地在其中扮演負面角色：一名兇殘的職業殺手，而扮演計程車司機的傑米·福克斯也因其出色的表現而深受好評，並獲得奧斯卡最佳男配角的提名(From Wikipedia)。

“Collateral” is American crime film which directed by Michael Mann. This film has two chief actors who are Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx. Tom Cruise as a contract killer and Jamie Foxx as a taxi driver. And the film’s name “Collateral” means the things connected with something else, but in addition to it and less important. It’s also similar to the relationship between Vincent and Max.
The story was happened in the evening in Los Angles, California. Max had derived the taxi for 12 years and had lots of dreams, but he doesn't have encourages to pressure them. One day, he met Vincent who hired him to executive his kill contract. By that time Vincent killed the first person, Max has noticed his job. Although Max tried to prevent Vincent’s plan, its sill useless. Max just played a subsidiary role to Vincent. On the taxi, the two guys chat to each other; Vincent told Max some different viewpoints of life. It’s influenced to Max. Then, when he found Vincent wanted to kill Annie, he tried to protect her and shooting to Vincent on the subway.
Michael Mann is a great director, and the music in this film is very suitable to each scenes, especially Jazz. The music could set off the environments and Max or Vincent’s mood. Max, a commonplace taxi driver, dreams to have a car stretch limo company. After day and day, he still used the same excuse that he just need more time and money to prepare it! His dream was still no growing after twelve years. Actually, Max was represented a nobody in our life like you and me. Even we work hard everyday, still feel we are weak, lonely, or no choice in the life. We have a dream, but have no courage to make it come true. However, a featureless person still have chance to change the world. Following the change of Max in the end, it’s also a sign which weak up a sleepy life.
In fact, Michael Mann’s product is very close to human nature. For example, Vincent is a cold-blooded killer, he still have kindhearted. When he went to the hospital with Max, he persisted in buy followers. We can find the roles’ characters in the movie’s detail. Totally, I think this really is a great movie. In the head, it can attract audience’s eyes. In the middle, the story line also very tight and quick. But it’s a little pity, the ending is a little hasty. Anyway, It wouldn't effect the whole story. It still impact people’s thinking of his dream in life. Maybe all of us will have courage to face our dream after seeing this film.
